What is OPENBEXI Creative?

OPENBEXI Creative is the server side, and OPENBEXI HTML Builder is the client side of the project OPENBEXI.

You can built Web pages from the true WYSIWYG OPENBEXI HTML Builder in standalone mode, but when it is  connected to the OPENBEXI Creative server:

• you can publish "on fly" your WEB pages to any remote boxes or your site if your WEB hosting provider allows SSH or SFTP access.
• you can connect your Web page, browse and pick up data from any SQL server supporting a JDBC driver. The OPENBEXI package comes per default with a embedded Hsqldb database.
  
• You can connect to the google picture website, filter and pick up media to built your Web page.

OPENBEXI Creative is distributed under the GNU licence.

Supported browser:

OPENBEXI Version 2+ runs on Windows, Mac, Linux platforms, and supports the following browsers: Explorer 6+, Firefox 2.0+ or Netscape 7.1+ browsers. Safari should be supported in future versions.

Important: The web pages ( HTML, DOM,XML, media, javascript code) created with OPENBEXI should be supported by all modern browsers: Explorer 6+, Firefox 2.0+, Netscape 7.1+, Opera 9.5+, safari 3.0+.

Installation:

The OPENBEXI Creative package (server side) comes with the OPENBEXI HTML Builder client, a embedded Tomcat server, a embedded Hsqldb (SQL relational database engine), and a preconfigured firefox browser.

Window (Vista and Xp) installation:

If you have downloaded OPENBEXICreative-2.xwindows-installer

You are ready to install the software by clicking on it from your desktop environment.

To complete the installation, just follow the instructions on screen.

Linux installation:

If you have downloaded OPENBEXICreative-2.x-linux-installer

You are ready to install the software by typing OPENBEXICreative-2.0 beta-linux-installer.

To complete the installation, just follow the instructions on screen.

Important: To be able to launch the installer, you have to change the installer access permissions:

Type chmod +x  OPENBEXICreative-2.0_beta_R2-linux-installer.bin, and run the binary.
